We use your email address, sign-in codes and session records to authenticate access and prevent abuse. We store the vendor, billing amounts, reviewed excerpts and filenames, comparisons, letters, case history, resolution notes and reminders you choose to save. We use billing customer/subscription identifiers, payment and webhook receipts, purchase-consent records and review usage to provide paid access, reconcile payments and prevent duplicate fulfillment. Hosting logs may contain IP addresses, request times and technical error details needed for security and reliability.
Text imports are read in your browser. PDF and image uploads are processed by the app and its OCR service; the review flow does not intentionally persist original uploads. Excerpts you choose to save are retained with your case. Temporary processing and provider infrastructure may handle file bytes while a request runs. Remove sensitive or unrelated information before uploading. Do not submit passwords, full card numbers, Social Security numbers or medical records.
Railway hosts the application, PostgreSQL database and OCR service. Resend processes recipient email addresses and message content for sign-in, opted-in reminders and customer-approved vendor correspondence. For optional letter delivery we retain the recipient, subject, exact reviewed text, a content hash and the provider receipt/status with your case. Acceptance is not proof of delivery; delivery to a mail server is not proof of reading. Stripe/Link processes checkout, tax, receipts, billing and payment support under its own applicable notices. Card numbers are entered into Stripe/Link’s hosted checkout and are not stored by this app. Our current comparison and OCR workflow does not send your documents to a generative AI model. We may disclose necessary records to comply with law, address fraud or protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
The app uses an essential, secure HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. It does not require advertising cookies. Hosted payment pages have their own notices. Access checks bind cases to your verified email; transport encryption and service controls help protect information, but no system is immune to all incidents.
You can download a case packet and delete individual cases in your workspace. Case deletion removes the case, saved excerpts, comparisons, letters and associated case history from the active database. Account deletion signs you out and removes linked case data; it is blocked while an active subscription or open checkout could still charge. Cancel payments first using Manage billing. Deletion does not retroactively cancel a purchase.
Minimal billing identifiers, payment-event receipts, consumed allowances, consent records, abuse-prevention trial records and certain older unlinked logs can remain after case or account deletion for reconciliation, required recordkeeping and abuse prevention. Consent evidence is retained for at least three years and longer when required for an ongoing subscription or legal obligation. Provider logs and backups follow provider retention and restore processes; deletion from the active app is not a promise of immediate removal from every backup.

Applicable law may give additional rights and response deadlines. You may also contact your state attorney general. We do not penalize you for exercising a privacy right.
The service is intended for adults 18 or older. If you believe a child’s information was submitted, contact us to request its removal. We will update this notice when the actual data practices change and provide additional notice where required.
